We did have to install drivers for a windows 10 pc but once we did everything communicated perfectly. Was originally going to install a parallel card but decided to order this too and give it try first just in case we needed to connect the printer to another computer for another reason and avoid the need to swap the card into another computer. The computer that was connected to it died and needed to be replaced. Great lease on life for an older industrial label printer with a parallel and no USB port that was running fine. Great for connecting an older industrial printer to a newer machine Seems obvious by looking at the name of the product, but go ahead and buy this if you are looking to connect a printer with a parallel port, don't buy if you are hoping it works with a zip drive. Wasn't what I was looking for (I was hoping it would be compatible with an old zip drive, which it wasn't) but the product arrived in a timely manner and likely performs as advertised. But when I went to return it, it was going to cost me over $8 to return it, leaving me with a $2 refund. I didn't read the reviews which stated that it didn't work for that product. I purchased this in order to hook up an older Zip100 drive but it didn't work.
